EMAT/EVI (Educational Materials/Educational Materials for the Visually Impaired) system is an electronic statewide instructional materials management system that processes all Texas public education instructional material requests, orders, payments and deliveries. These instructional material types vary from textbooks, workbooks, Braille, software, large-type, and online materials.
The EMAT system verifies that the quantities of instructional materials ordered are within the district's allotment balance. Population data is imported from the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) into the EMAT database once per year to assist districts while ordering instructional materials.
